洪秀柱上午前往銘傳大學演講，會前被問到國民黨立法院黨團總召廖國棟認為若洪秀柱連任，國民黨將新黨化時說，這話不是今天才開始，從以前就有，她擔任主席以後，黨員也沒流失，且有很多紛紛進來，因此，這些話都做參考，有人有疑慮，她就要想怎麼讓黨更茁壯，自我檢討。
